After GLPS 17th

January 21st, I came back to my home. A month.. It was a long time for me, but I felt it short when I was in GLPS. Every weeks were good except the first week. I believe that everyone who was in GLPS agree with this fact. Although, I felt that the first week is like 14days, I'm definitely sure that the 4 weeks were pretty good experience for me.

I learned many things like hard skills, and soft skills. HArd skill means how to study. On the other hand, soft skill means social ability. In hard skill side, we studied History of Science, Debate, and Writing. History of Science was kind of researching. We made a good question, got information,observed, and did presentations. There were 3 rigions like Eastern,  Middle Eastern, and Western. We used a lot of books, and Wikipedia for a source. At first, It was a little hard to me, because the source's level was too high. Fortunately, I overcame it as time went by. The second subject was debate. Especially, we did Mock Trial, because I was in Level 1. There were 2 big parts in Mock Trial, which were Defence and Crown. Defence should protect the criminal person, and Crown should protect the government. Also, there were small 6 parts in each team. Witness 1,2 ,lawer 1,2,3,4. They had to cooperate to win in a law court. We did 3 cases that still, child abuse, cannibalism. It was the most interesting class that I felt. The last subject was Writing. In this class, we used a computer for blogging. When our teacher gave us assignments, and we did it on our blog. Chain Writing, Meta Fiction, Viral Video, and a lot, we could enjoy our blog. Also we did PE like Taekwondo, Fencing, and Skiing.

In soft skill side, we learned social ability like friendship, attention, confidence. I'll give you an example. In History of Science class, we had to presentation, even free talking infront of many audience. Then, we needed body language to attract them like eye contact, gestures, and loud voice. At this moment, we should have a confidence. At first I didn't have it, so my presentation score was very low. However, in last presentation finally I got 4th rank in 10 students. I think it is because I could be adapted to the presentation as time went by. By having this process, I could get a confidence.

In my conclusion, although it was my first camp, I think it'll be the best camp in my life. There are many strong points that  I didn't. If I tell about all of them, my fingers will be broken. Anyway, I made good friends, and had a terrific experience. If I can, I want to go GLPS one more.

  

Reflective Essay

 There were two monks. One is adult and the other is a young boy. The young boy is really curious about living things maybe it's because of his thinking. At that time, many children feel curious about things. One day, he found fish, frog and snake. Because he had lots of playfulness, he played with those living things. He tied them with a rope. He enjoyed this time. The day after, he felt like he can't move and he can't wake up. It was because the monk tied rocks on him. The young boy said sorry to monk but he said "say sorry to fish, frog and snake." When young boy go to them, he found he was died, frog barely alived and snake was died. He felt guilty for it and big monk looked down that situation. 

     Today, we does many experiments in school. And I can remember well on cut up of frog and fish. I fistly did it when I was in fifth grade of elementary school and most students don't care about studying actually. They enjoyed that experiment and dissect it harmfully. So they don't have serious and sorry mind to frog especially the boys. I wans't dissect it harmfully but I also enjoyed. But after times past, I felt really sorry to frog. Although it can't talk, it's also one live thing and we killed it carelessly. When I became a middle school student, my teacher said "we should always think of them and we should feel sorry for them. They are also a live thing and we just dissect them for studying. Don't do it carelessly." It was really touched to me and I agree with teacher.

     This video remind me that experience again. We should always think they also have a life and the price is just same as people. Shift our position and think about it. If they are a human and we are the animals, maybe we can treat badly and we can get stress because of it. So, it's not different and we should respect their life. Do not think it's useless. Everything in the world have a value. I wanted to say this for people by this video, especially for the boys.

As time went by, the scientific technique is getting more developments, detailed. These days, there are many kinds of invention and technique. Maybe in the future there are huge robots or time machine  Sometimes I think about the future while I'm studying. However, my teacher often say to me " Focus on studying!". One day, I went to the school library, and read an article about  the future. Then I found an interesting article. 


 "In the future, people will ride in flying cars and TVs will cost less than watermelons. Flying cars will be powered by an engine that runs on music and pollution from the car will be converted into candy. The candy will come in many different kinds and will be affected be the environment." 


Then I came up a question about examples. I researched it by using the Internet. There are lots of information.


 For example, when driving through a rainbow, Skittles will come out of the exhaust pipe, and when driving past bathrooms, Twix will come out. The frame of the car will come from artificial titanium that is stronger than cotton! It will be strong enough to resist even the most powerful sneezes! The people inside the car wouldn't have drive at all because the car will be controlled by a group of people that have no other jobs. This will provide homeless people or those in poverty with an abundance of jobs.    


Next day, I told them to my friend in school, and he said about another case of the future.   

 There will be 5G and 6G networks. People wouldn't have to wait to use the internet. Maybe, there will be no computers. People will invent a small chip and acupuncture people's skin. Then they will call person to person by using their skin, emotion, or brain. People won't have to go to job or schools because we can do almost everything in our own house. We can do business. Employees can have a video conference and it will be much more developed than it is now. The time for sending data will be reduced. It will be so much more comfortable.


While I'm hearing, I heard " Focus on studying! " .Then I think that If want to enjoy the future, I have to study.now.

Dear pencil

You are very kind,fine, and shine friend in my mind.

Your kindness is very terrific.
When I hold your hands, and make a letter with you, then you sacrificed for me.
When I hold your hands, and I twirling with you, you bear with feeling dizzy for me.

Also whenever I  lose you, you never get angry, even I use a mechanical pencil instead of you, you always smile.

However, sometimes you make me disappointed.

However,If I have no pencil, I can't write anything

I chose the video because I saw very interesting

This is the famous video for the title 'David after visiting the dentist'
It is about a kid who had visited a dentist. 104,589,540 people watched it, and they
made a lot of money.

This is the whole story about the video.
In May 2008,7-year old David DeVore Jr. was taken to the dentist to have an extra tooth remove. However her mother didn't want to make her son surgery, so his father decided
to video tape the experience to share with her and their family. After surgery David was feeling confused from the anesthesia. While in a car, his father asked some questions to him like Is this real life?" and "Is this going to be forever?" and also telling him that he had four fingers. At one point he even attempted to push himself up from his seat  and    released a scream before sinking back in exhaustion. Seven months later, his father uploaded it on Facebook. After then it spread rapidly. Now It is famous all over the world.

After the video was taped, his family made a lot of money, and his family made David dentist T-shirts. His father would not say exactly how much the family has earned from the video but said it's in the low six figures.
